Air Boating in Florida

We have a Brother-in-Law Bo, (who seems like a brother to Blake because he's been around since Blake was born) and Bo has an airboat. He's always telling us he's ready to ride any day, anytime. So we take him up on it quite often. You can go out on the blow boat, morning, afternoon, or evening. I have said this before and I’ll say it again, the prettiest parts of Florida can be seen from an airboat (prettiest part of FL runner up). I love watching the sunset while out on the boat. But the real reason for this trip was Mom's birthday. She has always wanted to go, but the boat's seats always seem to be full of visitors from out of town. Sure there are airboat tours you can go on, but no 30+ passenger boat is going to take you to the places Bo will. On our ride we started on the river, explored the marsh, and went over some dirt roads a couple of times. That’s the beauty of an airboat, nothing is off limits. Just think of the movie WaterBoy, that thing made it all the way to a football stadium.
This was an afternoon ride, it was nice and clear up until we entered the car to go home. That is when the skies opened and the storm bands from hurricane Isaac let loose. Happy Birthday Mom glad Bo got to take you out on the airboat.
Here is a cool air boating video clip Brandon (Blake's brother) made with Bo and some friends.

I'll leave you with a few more pictures from an early morning airboat this past winter.
