Thanksgiving 2014

Blake and I had been looking forward to the Thanksgiving break for a long time. We just really needed to get away from school and spend time with our families. Wednesday we had Thanksgiving over at the Russ house. My sisters-in-law put together a wonderful meal, and we spent the evening talking and playing with the kids. I barely had to lift a finger so it was nice a relaxing. The Santos had a surprisingly full house this Thanksgiving, coming from a family of three kids we normally don't have to set a table for 14. We had friends come in from Canada and Singapore to celebrate with us. Most the day was spent cooking and playing games outside. I did not really cook at this meal either (most my time was spent feeding Lizzy), but I did set the table :). I love Thanksgiving! There is just so much to be thankful for; Family, Education, Health, Food, Shelter, and much more.

Jari is Home and Thanksgiving 2013

A lot has happened since the last post. Blake and I have packed in as much holiday and family time (in between finals week and moving) as possible our last month in the states. And today we fly to Istanbul Turkey, we will be spending 17 hrs in the air and the rest of the time sitting at airports. So don't mind me as I over load my blog with pictures and stories. Starting with Thanksgiving weekend, yes Thanksgiving! My sister came home from her LDS mission the day before, what a nice coincidence. I love that Blake and my family are so close, we had the Russ Thanksgiving the night she got home and all the nieces and nephews made signs for her. They love her just as much as me... maybe because they could not tell us apart when they were younger. Then Thursday we had another delicious meal at home with the Santos family and close friends. After dinner we drove over to Orlando for the weekend. Spending our days playing around Disney property, and doing a little light shopping (we are not black Friday people). Our nights we spent staying up late talking, playing games and stuffing our faces with an assortment of cheese, crackers and sparkling cider (a holiday staple)

Thanksgiving

Well this Thanksgiving we had planned to stay home and order pizza or something. Just enjoying the break from school and doing nothing... Oh how are we glad our plans changed. The Belliston's, our neighbors up stairs invited us over to the Rubio Thanksgiving. Which was so much fun, full of Food, Friends, and Dancing (only have photos of before the DJ cousin brought his gear and strobe lights, then it become more of a Rubio Rave).
The next day we went to the beach. It was a perfect day to enjoy the Christmas decorated boardwalk, people watch on our four person bike, skim board, pass the football (where Blake lost his wedding ring) and eat yummy pizza.
