A few weekends ago we took a trip home to central Florida, and decided to bring friends along. One thing we love about Florida is all the fresh water springs, the water gushes out of the ground and creates a crystal clear 72 degree pool all year long. We thought we would introduce Krysta and Devin to a few of our favorites. We got up early that morning to insure we were the first ones there, it's not fun when others stir up the sand and scare off the fish. We snorkeled Alexander Springs first, followed by Silver Glen. I used to get in the springs without a wetsuit (Blake still does), but now I prefer to wear one. If you are planning a trip to the Florida springs, remember 72 degree water is cold. This was the trip our under water camera case took in water and killed the camera, so again no underwater pictures. We did our best with "out of water" pictures because Blake caught a turtle and a gator gar (with his bare hands). The things Blake catches never cease to amaze me.
Here are some old pictures I love of us at Alexander Springs in 2007.
See the gator?
