BYU vs. FSU

So since I was born my Dad has always loved FSU... we really do not know why but he bought this sweatshirt back when he was a student at BYU.

So when we heard that BYU was going to play FSU in Tallahassee on Sept 18th we just had to go.  Even if we don't really follow football... at all.

All in all it was a fun day.

Our 6 day road trip

Here was the plan, Blake and I were going to get married go on our honeymoon then drive out to BYU-Idaho for school.  But after being in FL for 2 weeks and 1 week in Mexico we deicided the cold, windy, cloudy, 9 months of winter was not for us.  So we stayed in Florida... but we still had to make the trip to Idaho for our stuff we left.  2 weeks worth of swimsuits and my wedding dress was not going to be much to live off of.  So we left at 4 am on Tuesday Aug. 24th and got back Sunday Aug, 29th at 8 pm.  We made amazing time but that does not mean we had no fun on the way.

We went to...

White Castle somewhere in Tennese

St. Luis MO and the Gateway arch

Blake was jumping over the posts.. just could not make it over the trash can.

And that one waterfall near Provo
That was our 1st 36-ish hours... we just took turns driving and sleeping straight from FL to UT. After sleeping at my aunts house we were on the road to Rexburg.

YO BLAKE IS BACK!

And the MT. Blake Russ

We were in Rexburg for about 2 hours.  Just enough time to to pack our Prius, which wholes A LOT more then you would think. (we forgot to take a picture of that) And we had to eat at our favorite pizza place before we left, Craigo's and the cookie pizza.

and Snoasis

Then we drove to Montana to go to Yellow Stone.  We used our new tent we got from our wedding.  Blake learned that KOA's are everywhere.

this is the biggest crow we had ever seen...

it even eat a smaller, much cuter bird.

after Yellow Stone we drove to South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore.

after a night is South Dakota it was straight back to Florida.

their were just hills of sunflowers

Our last meal was at Lambert's cafe, home of the thrown rolls (the trailer trash cafe) in Alabama.

Mexico

Our Honey Moon to Mexico at the Blue Bay Esmeralda
When we walked into the room we thought the plate and towels were the coolest thing ever.
Blue Bay is known for all its animal life all over the resort.  We saw these raccoon looking things and iguanas everywhere.  We always carried trail mix just in case so Blake could feed and maybe catch one.
But the only one he really feed was a real raccoon in the hallway to our room.
They had all you can drink bars everywhere.
Blake became friends with the bar tenders so we got a lot of crazy things without alcohol.
But nothing beat the pina colada.
The whole time we were in Mexico I wanted to drink some coconut water.  I have missed that stuff since I lived in Brasil.  But they added alcohol to ALL THE COCONUTS!!!  I could not believe it and it really did make me a little mad.  But Blake being the best guy every piked a coconut off of one of the trees and broke it open for me.
He really is the best.

We did leave the resort a few times to explore mexico.  The taxi's where charging people 10X as much as they should have because we were staying at a resort but Blake and I got around that.  We just walk out to the road and took and "colectivo" which is where all there random people get in a van that takes you were you need to go.  We payed $4.00 instead of $40.00 and that is not a joke.  Plus we got to travel with a lot of interesting people.  So we got to spend our money on different things like

Taking a boat to La Isla Mujeras and going snorkeling,

and touring the small city.
And we could not leave Mexico without scuba diving.
But there was a lot to do back at Blue Bay as well like,
Sailing.  This was my first time sailing and it was just Blake and I.  It was a little scary but I loved it.
 and live music.
and just having fun on the beach.
But the best part was all the food.
