The Biggest, Loudest, Craziest 3rd Birthday Party EVER!!

Being that Halloween was in the middle of a school week, plus we were still trying to make up days we missed from Hurricane Irma, I was not sure we were going to be able to have a Halloween/Lizzy Birthday party this year. However, with the help of my Mom and Blake we were able to pull it off. My sister Jari, also surprised me and flew in for the party. It was so much fun. We stayed up watching stranger things and making last minute costumes for my school Halloween party. With her help we ended up winning the costume contest at school then I skipped out of school early to spend time with her.

Never let a Halloween go to Waste, That's my Moto

A last minute Halloween party, and pumpkins patch. 

So I love Halloween, I love dressing up, I love all the creativity, it's just the best. Earlier in the month we went to the pumpkin patch with my sister in law and her kids. We had fun having a little photo shoot with them. Although we are no where near professionals, Blake is getting pretty comfortable behind the camera.

As I said Blake and I love dressing up and had been planning our costumes for what seemed like a year, I mean doesn't everyone have a list of costumes they want to sport before they die? Now Halloween is always at a bad time of the school year, there is always a test coming up and we have normally just moved somewhere (meaning we don't know anyone to hang out with). This year how ever was at a REALLY bad time. Blake and I both had tests Wednesday and Thursday (halloween day), so it looked like we would spend this oh so fun holiday doing nothing. As my test was in the morning and Blake's was scheduled from 8-10 PM!! I would be spending the whole afternoon and evening home by myself. But then, I would have no such thing. How many times a year do you get to dress up? So I thought never let a Halloween go to waste, right? So I invited my brother over for a little dinner/movie get together, a brother sister date if you will. And may I say he is the best for canceling his plans to hang out with me. I spent the after noon making dinner, put up a few decorations, and painting my face. After spending dinner, trips to walgreens and watched Nightmare before Christmas, Blake was finally done with his test. He came home, we wrapped some toilet paper around his head and called him a mummy. Then we stayed up way too late talking and watching Monsters University. Even though it was the smallest costume party around. It was 100% better then sitting home alone. 

Oh and Adam introduced me to a new candy. Have you tasted Take5? Holy! My new favorite candy in the world; pretzels, peanut butter, caramel, and peanuts all covered in chocolate!!! 

Halloween 2012

Well Blake and I quite enjoy dressing up for Halloween. I have a list of cool things I want to dress up like before I die. Last year (2011) things were a little too crazy, for us to dress up. I think we went for a run then hid ourselves in the apt because we hadn't bought candy. But some how we pulled it off this year, probably because I was in charge of the bi-ward trunk or treat. So for this Halloween I mark Mexican Day of the Dead off my to-do Halloween dress ups. It was the perfect year to get creative and paint our faces because of all the wonderful friends we got going on here in Miami that joined in (How do I not have a picture with Krysta?). I don’t know how I am planning on leaving this place.

It was pure luck that we had time to dress up this year (Blake’s face got painted in the parking lot, and we didn't get a picture till after the party) let alone decorate our trunk for the truck or treat. But it just so happened that we had gotten 2 Colombian red tailed boas that month. So they were our very scary decorations. It was truly terrifying for some, and pretty amusing for others. Blake had a good time letting the brave kids take turns holding the snakes, while teasing parents by convincing them to ask for a snake this Christmas. 

Widdman's First Annual Halloween Party

Still catching up with the Holidays.... 

First off Halloween.

Halloween came early for us this year, instead of celebrating on the 31st we got to be involved in the Widdman's First Annual Halloween Party. As Halloween is one of my favorite holidays I was willing to drive the 4+ hrs straight from volunteering to help get ready. It was a late night... Amy and Heather had done most of the work before I got there, but we had fun making bows and organizing all the little details for party favors and prizes. 

The party was filled with all the Halloween classics.

And The Scariest Hunted House EVER!!!

The Haunted House was no joke that coolest thing ever!!!! Lets just say kids were bragging about being so scared they peed their paints.

I am so glad we were able to go home for a little Halloween fun, because on October 31st Blake and I went for a run and pretended not to hear the door knocks as we did homework... we were so lame for forgetting to buy candy.
